AbstractThis is the last available translation of the Qing statute laws, as they are since Da Qing lüli of 1740 (q.v.). The edition is in fact based on Xue Yunsheng's Duli cunyi 讀例存疑, and therefore does not include the materials (tables, charts) that can be found in the complete versions of the code. Moreover, the "appended articles" tiaoli  條例 that completed, amended, corrected or even nullified the provisions of the statute laws they were appended to are not included. "Great Qing Code"' is quite improper a title, for a work that just provides the skeleton of it. The translation lacks cohesiveness, the glossary is flowed by many discrepancies.
