Da Qing lüli 大清律例 (1740)

凡遇強盜係親屬首告到官，審其聚眾不及十人，及止行劫一次者，依律免罪，減等擬斷發落。若聚眾至十人及行劫累次者，係大功以上親屬首告，發附近；小功以下親屬首告，發邊衛，各充軍。其親屬本身被劫因而告訴到官者，依親屬相盜律科罪，不在此例。

When a robber is surrendered to authorities by relatives, if it is determined that the gang is fewer than 10 individuals, and they committed plunder on only one occasion, the exemption of punishment or the reduction of the sentence degree will be applied in accordance with the statute. If the gang is 10 or more individuals and they committed several acts of plunder, and the relative surrendering the criminal is of one of the three higher degrees of mourning, the criminal is sent to military exile in a nearby region. If a relative of the two lower degrees of mourning surrenders the criminal, then the latter is sent to military exile in a border garrison. If this is because they have been themselves robbed by the criminal that his relatives reports to authorities, then the crime is sentenced in accordance with the statute on "relatives robbing from one another", and is not covered in this sub-statute.

Lorsqu’un auteur de vol avec violence est dénoncé par ses parents et livré à la justice, si l’enquête établi que la bande qu’il a réunie n’atteint pas dix personnes et n’a commis qu’une seule exaction, il est, en application de la loi, exempté de peine ou condamné à une peine réduite. Lorsque la bande qu’il a réunie compte dix membres ou plus, ou si les exactions ont été commises de façon répétée, s’il est dénoncé par un parent auquel il doit l’un des trois premiers degrés de deuil, il est envoyé dans une province proche ; s’il est dénoncé par un parent auquel il doit l’un des deux derniers degrés de deuil, il est envoyé dans une garnison frontière ; la peine est à chaque fois la servitude militaire. Lorsque les parents dénoncent le coupable à la justice parce qu’ils ont été eux-mêmes victimes de ses exactions, on juge d’après la loi sur les « Parents qui se volent les uns les autres » [art. 272] et non d’après le présent article.
