AbstractA manuscript collection of capital cases in late Qing regarding the decisions on execution or suspension in Autumn Assizes. It was authored by Shen Jiaben (沈家本), composed of 6 juan. The cases were sorted under summarized titles of a variety of proposed rules, which were presumably internal (neiding) guidance for the Board of Punishments to decide capital cases to be qingshi (true) or huanjue (suspended) in Autumn Assizes. The brief descriptions of the cases focus on the most essential facts corresponding to the fact-specific rules, with indications of time and provinces in which the cases took place in the upper side of page margins.
